The app
Stovo is published by Petertil TripPortier. You use the app under Apple’s Standard License Agreement, which is also the Terms of Use linked in the app. How Stovo handles data is described in the Privacy Policy.
Product information is general information
Product and nutrition details are for general information only. They are not an official product label or a guarantee, and may be incomplete, inaccurate or out of date. Always check the package for current information, especially for allergies or intolerances. Stovo does not provide medical or personal dietary advice.
Stovo marks where product facts come from. “Community submitted” and “Unverified community information” mean that one Stovo user typed the facts from a package. “Community confirmed” means that at least two other app identities, different from the one that added the fact, entered or confirmed the same value for the same product and package market. That does not prove they are different people, and it is not an official check. Facts from Open Food Facts are shown as supplied by Open Food Facts, with the date they were last updated there; Stovo has not checked them.
Sharing product facts
Sharing is optional and off until you choose it. When you share, or confirm facts, you are asked to share only what you read on the package. Please do not submit links, advertising, or anything about other people. What you share becomes visible to other Stovo users, together with the package market, and is shown as community information. Stovo may hold back, change or remove product facts, for example when two submissions disagree or when a fact is reported as wrong. What is sent and how long it is kept is described in the Privacy Policy.
Open Food Facts
When Stovo’s catalogue has no entry, Stovo can show data from Open Food Facts, a community database available under the Open Database License. It is shown with its source, is not copied into Stovo’s catalogue, and can be corrected at Open Food Facts.
Changes
If these terms change, the new version is published on this page with a new effective date.
